GI JOE ACTION PILOT- AIR SEA RESCUE (1967)

This is a prototype of the 40th Anniversary Timeless Collection Air Sea Rescue GI Joe. Hasbro cancelled the line and this very figure I'm showing before they could finish the reproduction of the 1960's series. I bought this off of eBay about a year ago as it was one of the sets that I had always wanted.
I added a speargun. Reminds me of the James Bond THUNDERBALL movie with the "good guys" wearing the orange rubber scuba outfits. He stands on my shelf right in my studio at home right next to my Navy scuba diver in the matching black rubber scuba outfit.

Nice blog site. While searching websites looking for filesharing software related info, I decided to try blog sites. Wow, there are so many of them it's amazing. I never heard of or knew what a blog was until last year. Now they're everywhere. And it seems like everybody but me has one. Anyway, I'm trying to improve my mp3 music sharing site and was originally looking for relevant information I could use. Got sidetracked a lttle bit....lol. It was interesting. Thanks for the read, Mike
The way to see how dated this GI Joe truly is -- is that his scuba tank is a "K" valve design (i.e., the dual air hoses that circle the head.) Most of these went out ouf production in the late 1070's -- and my scuba instructor in the 1980's couldn't even find parts for his in 1985. Almost all scuba tanks now use the single-hose "J-valve" design.
But cool, very cool

Hello J.D.
Thanks for the info on the scuba tank. I didn't know that (as I've never been diving).
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I wasn't sure if folks knew about it or not.

Blogging is still new to me Scott McCullar. I never heard of or knew what a blog was until about 6 months ago. Wow, there are so many of them it's amazing. Now they're everywhere. And it seems like everyone has one but me. I was looking for websites with info about peer 2 peer. Then I decided to try blogs. Anyway, I'm trying to improve my site at http://www.p2p-mp3-filesharing.com for all the music and movie lovers out there, and was originally looking for relevant information I could use. Got sidetracked a lttle bit....lol. It was interesting. Thanks Scott McCullar, Mike
Hi there Scott McCullar. You know some of these blog sites have more info on them than regular websites. I've been searching websites looking for filesharing software related info, I decided to try blog sites. And it seems like everybody but me has one. Anyway, I'm trying to improve my site at http://www.p2p-mp3-filesharing.com and needed more substantive information I could use. Got sidetracked a wee bitl. Had fun though. Thanks Scott McCullar, Mike
